Hops

Nurturing Hops for Better Brews and Better Tomorrows

Year after year, Westwood Farms harvests premium hops on the 45th parallel that serve as building blocks for some of the country’s best beers. By combining our passion for forward-thinking research and seven generations of wisdom in hop farming, we offer ethically-grown classic varietals and inventive test strains.

Our hop yard is rooted in sandy loam soil and fed by the Willamette River, creating ideal conditions for healthy, flavorful hops. We care for each block with close observation, adapting our approach as we learn and drawing on decades of experience, ongoing research, and collaboration with peers.

We intersperse cover crops amongst our hop yard, allowing our hop plants to grow naturally protected.

Our farm is a part of the Green Chief® program. This means we collaborate with farms across the Pacific Northwest on best practices in responsible farming and quality hop production.
