Barley
Ethically-Grown Barley for Brewers and Distillers
Our barley grows happily in the sandy‑loam soils that line Oregon’s Willamette River. This nutrient‑rich landscape nurtures thriving barley, each stalk ripening to a golden color with a subtle, nutty flavor that’s perfect for malting and distilling.

Oregon Promise
A two‑row spring malting barley developed by Oregon State University, Oregon Promise is bred from Golden Promise and Full Pint. Known for its unique flavor contributions, GN‑nonproducing trait, and excellent agronomic performance under Oregon conditions, this variety reflects the quality and character of grain grown in the Willamette Valley.
Barley is more than just an ingredient; it benefits the land around us too. Planting barley helps us improve the soil, controlling erosion and boosting valuable nutrients. It also helps us suppress weeds and pests without having to use heavy duty pesticides.
Our Hops
Our hop yard sits right on the 45th parallel in Oregon. Every hop we grow benefits from the sandy‑loam soil and the natural water supply of the nearby Willamette River.
Our Practices
There’s a complex ecosystem around us, and we do our best to make a positive impact. Our holistic approach leads to better barley and better brews.
